1½ to 5 Ton Packaged Water Source Heat Pump

A geothermal heat pump is the most efficient heating and cooling system available today, using the relatively stable temperatures of the earth or ground water for heat transfer, rather than burning fossil fuels. Not only does the system heat and cool your home effectively, but it can also heat your domestic hot water for even more savings on utility bills.

In addition to energy efficiency, geothermal heat pumps provide year ‘round comfort with exceptionally quiet operation. There are no fumes, no odors, and no open flames as with a standing pilot light. Galvanized steel cabinet has a powder coat finish for durability and attractive appearance.

NOTE: HPV systems installed on or after Jan. 1, 2011, do not qualify for the Federal Tax Credit for Energy Efficiency. Only HPV systems installed prior to that date qualify. Recent changes by Energy Star to efficiency requirements resulted in this change.

Look for the Leaf: R-410A is called an environmentally-friendly refrigerant because it does not contribute to the depletion of the earth's vital ozone layer, which provides a protective barrier against the sun's harmful UV rays. Soon all refrigerants used around the world will be replaced by non-ozone depleting refrigerants such as R-410A, which is already in use in many Comfort-Aire models. Look for equipment marked with the leaf, signifying that it's charged with R-410A.
