95% Two-Stage Furnace with ECM Motor

Our 95% two stage gas furnace with ECM variable speed blower keeps you comfortable while saving on fuel. It does this by operating in the low firing mode most of the time, providing a gentle flow of warm air. But when the weather turns really cold, the furnace automatically shifts into the high firing stage to provide the extra heat needed to keep the home comfortable.

The two-stage operation reduces the on-off cycling and temperature swings common with other furnaces. A conventional single-stage model operates at high heat until the thermostat is satisfied, then shuts off until the home cools off enough to trigger another demand for heat. The GTUV model, however, is designed to keep your home constantly at the comfort level you selected.

Energy is saved because in the low stage the burner flame is smaller and blower fan runs at a slower speed. Even in the high stage, the GTUV with its AFUE rating of over 95% (the GTUV120 has an AFUE rating of 93.3%) is super efficient.

The ECM variable speed blower motor adjusts the blower speed to deliver the airflow required by the system. By maintaining constant airflow across a wide range of external static pressures in the air ducts, it results in better indoor air quality and humidity control, in addition to more even temperatures than a single speed motor can provide. Other big advantages are energy efficiency and quiet operation.

The unit is backed by outstanding warranty protection: lifetime warranty on primary and secondary heat exchangers, and five year warranty on other parts (see printed warranty for limitations and details)

Features

Quiet Operation—Insulated blower compartment, specially designed inducer system, slow-opening gas valve and soft start ECM blower make this one of the quietest furnaces on the market

Extraordinary Efficiency—Two heat exchangers maximize heated air; continuous fan maintains a consistent flow of heated air to eliminate temperature swings while saving energy

In-Shot Burners—Engineered to provide the most efficient air/gas mixture, saving on fuel costs

Easy to Install—Furnace comes completely assembled and pre-wired, controls are easy to access

Installation Flexibility—Connections for gas, electricity and condensate drain can be made on the left or right side; optional indoor or outdoor combustion air; combustion air may be piped to either the top or side of the cabinet (special molded fitting is provided)

Thermostat—Can be used with either a single- or two-stage thermostat; two stage is recommended for optimal efficiency (not included with furnace)

Safety—Built with multiple protection features including 100% safety lock-out, redundant main gas control, and blower compartment door safety switch

Durable Cabinet—Prepainted galvanized steel resists corrosion; a solid bottom is standard

Outstanding Warranty Coverage—Lifetime warranty on primary and secondary heat exchangers, 12 year warranty on other parts (see Warranty for limitations and details)

Look for the Leaf: R-410A is called an environmentally-friendly refrigerant because it does not contribute to the depletion of the earth's vital ozone layer, which provides a protective barrier against the sun's harmful UV rays. Soon all refrigerants used around the world will be replaced by non-ozone depleting refrigerants such as R-410A, which is already in use in many Comfort-Aire models. Look for equipment marked with the leaf, signifying that it's charged with R-410A.
