Variable Speed Hydronic Air Handler for R-410A

The AHGV Series of hydronic air handlers is designed for superior energy efficiency with a variable speed motor that's about 90% more efficient than a PSC motor. It further improves efficiency by adjusting the CFM to match the static pressure of the system for a constant airflow under less than optimum duct configurations.

In addition, the AHGV is packed with most-wanted features to simplify installation and maintenance, and to provide dependable operation. 3/4" water connections assure correct water supply line and the evaporator coil features aluminum fin/copper tube construction.

These high efficiency models are truly multi-positional: vertical, horizontal left or right, or downflow (with a conversion kit). The entire cabinet is pre-painted, galvanized steel for corrosion protection, and nylon drain pans resist corrosion.

The AHGV Series comes in 1-1/2 to 5 ton capacities and is AHRI matched to Comfort-Aire A/C condensers to achieve 13.5 to 15 SEER.

Features

Easy Connection—Line voltage terminal block and low voltage terminal strip for fast, simple thermostat connection

TXV Installed—R-410A factory-installed TXV for reliable refrigerant metering

Convenient Blower Accessibility—Slide-Out blower assembly simplifies service and maintenance

System Protection—Freeze protection for both heating and cooling protects the entire system year 'round

Design Eliminates Leakage—Interlocking cabinet panels and gasketed screws eliminate air leakage

Preheated Blower—Blower time delay preheat the hydronic coil to warm the air before the blower turns on

Enhanced Comfort—Constant airflow helps eliminate cold and hot spots for more even comfort

Improved IAQ—Variable speed blower pulls more humidity out of the air than single speed blowers for improved indoor air quality

Noise Reduction—Blower ramps up to speed, eliminating abrupt changes in sound at start-up and shut-down

Look for the Leaf: R-410A is called an environmentally-friendly refrigerant because it does not contribute to the depletion of the earth's vital ozone layer, which provides a protective barrier against the sun's harmful UV rays. Soon all refrigerants used around the world will be replaced by non-ozone depleting refrigerants such as R-410A, which is already in use in many Comfort-Aire models. Look for equipment marked with the leaf, signifying that it's charged with R-410A.
